Large Mid Century Modern Pincostume jewelry, Vintage 50's or 60's BRASS Buckle Designed MCM Broochcostume jewelry, with INSECTS

This is a wonderful vintage brooch featuring an Art Moderne brass "buckle" shape with striated lines and insect designs inside. It looks to me like grasshoppers or praying mantis'. This modernist, mid century brooch is all brass and can be worn as scarf buckle. This cool brooch or pin dates to the 1950's - 1960's.It measures 2 1/2" square, and is unmarked. It has a roll over safety clasp which works appropriately and remains secure. It is in very good vintage condition with light use.
